Do You Bring Joy to What You Do?

This last Saturday we went over to a friends house for a bible study. I don’t even remember the passage exactly, but I thought I should write a post on the topic. It will be short and sweet, but hopefully it will kick start a new beginning for you. At the Bible study we were talking about joy. Joy is not happiness. Joy is understanding that you should give thanks in all things, and realize that God has a purpose in everything. With this in mind lets begin.

One thing I have to remember is that even doing dishes is important. When I am not consistent keeping up with the dishes our home just doesn’t feel right. According to 1st Thessalonians, in everything we do we should give thanks for it is the will of our father. Yes doing dishes is the will of God in my life. Who knows how this will help me in life someday. I do know though that what ever I have to do in life will prepare me for something. Who knows doing dishes may be important for me to know someday. What ever it is that is your annoying thing to do, it will someday be important, and will teach you life lessons.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Once a friend of ours went to the hospital to see a friend. He clearly remembered this one lady who was there. You might expect it to be the nurse or somebody like that, but no, it was the lady that changes sheets and such. She told him that she loved her job. She did everything with joy and gusto. When he stayed the night she had a recliner taken into the room so he could be comfortable. She then asked if he was a little bit hot and brought him a fan. With out people like this remarkable little lady we would not have things running well. If no one to clean things up worked places, then things would be a wreck. Your Job may not look important, or it may be the highest position you can get at your job. Whatever it is, do it for the glory of God.

I am an art enthusiast who loves many forms of art such as watercolor, drawing, writing, and much more. Here on my blog, I try to show a snippet of my hobbies and artistic endeavors. My life vision is to turn everything into an artistic version of itself, living a life that allows me to be the person God made me to be, and do my best work. Quote of the month "To see the person you will be in 5 years, examine the books you read, the TV shows you watch, and the friends you keep. They will show you a reflection of your future." - a wise person.
