You are What you Think

I think I know what ultimately rules our lives: our thoughts. Mahatma Gandhi once said “Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny. “Think of your thought life that most useful tool; if managed properly it can change one’s whole world (for the better) –If poorly managed– for the worse. If a person constantly thinks “I never will be good at writing, my grammar, stinks, and I dislike spelling” you can be certain that person will fail at writing. If thoughts are so powerful, we should use them wisely.

In the forest there are pathways. Those pathways did not used to be there. They were steadily built up stronger and stronger every-time a person walked them. A person’s brain like a forest has pathways which are strong and easy to walk. Every-time you re-think a thought it strengthens a mental pathway. The important thing is to think on beautiful things, not on things which bring you down or are unwholesome. Additionally, Philippians 4:8 pleads “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” Summing up what Gandhi said– what you think is what you will live.

I am an art enthusiast who loves many forms of art such as watercolor, drawing, writing, and much more. Here on my blog, I try to show a snippet of my hobbies and artistic endeavors. My life vision is to turn everything into an artistic version of itself, living a life that allows me to be the person God made me to be, and do my best work. Quote of the month "To see the person you will be in 5 years, examine the books you read, the TV shows you watch, and the friends you keep. They will show you a reflection of your future." - a wise person.
