Easter Drawings!

This is my original. ^

Happy Reresection Day! Jesus had to die to save us, but now he is alive, and reigns in heaven! This week I taught my art class how to draw a scene with crosses and Easter Lilies ^. Our goal was to draw a picture without outlining anything in black or pencil but only using shadows. It was tricky on the flowers which do look outlined despite the fact that those lines are meant to be shadows. Below are my students’ renditions, which are better than the original if you ask me!

This was done by a 12 year old. She used the edge of her marker to conserve ink, color faster, and create the style. She also did flowers on both sides which stands out.
This is also done by the same girl who did the picture above.
This was done by another 12 year-old who did light strokes to create texture and blending.
An 8 year-old did this using his markers to create a unique sunrise, that brings out the crosses.
This was done by a 12 year-old who took a different spin on his flowers, and created textured grass by doing short strokes with his markers.
This was done by a 14 year-old. She did beautiful bright colors in the background to really make the crosses stand out.
This was done by a 14-year old who put yellow over his green to make realistic grass with different colors.
This was done by the same 8-year from above.
This one is my favorite! It was done by an 11 year-old! She mushed all of the colors together to make a pastel type look!

I am an art enthusiast who loves many forms of art such as watercolor, drawing, writing, and much more. Here on my blog, I try to show a snippet of my hobbies and artistic endeavors. My life vision is to turn everything into an artistic version of itself, living a life that allows me to be the person God made me to be, and do my best work. Quote of the month "To see the person you will be in 5 years, examine the books you read, the TV shows you watch, and the friends you keep. They will show you a reflection of your future." - a wise person.
